Non-government organizations (NGOs) play a number of roles in bridging the digital divide. NGOs help define the issue 70-620 and mobilize resources to bridge the digital divide. The work of the Benton Foundation is an example. This non-profit organization produces and coordinates the Digital Divide Network (DDN), which serves as “a catalyst for developing new, innovative, digital divide strategies and for making current initiatives more strategic, more partner-based, and more outcome-oriented, with less duplication of effort, and more 70-640 learning from each other’s activities.”
NGOs are also engaged in policy work, helping develop proposals for global action on the digital divide.
